Akilah Solomon, Practice Manager
Akilah Solomon, born and raised in Atlanta, GA, boasts a dynamic career spanning more than 15 years in healthcare. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Fisk University, she went on to complete a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration. Her expertise lies in operational excellence and elevating customer service standards within the industry.
With a background in primary care and urgent care operations, Akilah is well-versed in delivering optimal quality care. She is passionate about helping patients, ensuring each one feels valued and prioritized. As head of Texas Endovascular’s Georgia division, Akilah is thrilled to shepherd the practice toward new and continued successes.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Akilah enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two children, visiting other parts of the U.S., and traveling the world. A true Georgia peach, Akilah is a proud Atlanta Falcons enthusiast who enjoys attending games and concerts at the Mercedes Benz Stadium.
Sydni Collins, Registered Vascular Sonographer
Meet Sydni Collins, a dedicated Registered Vascular Sonographer passionate about patient care. Originally from Northern Maryland, Sydni ventured to South Florida to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Medical Sonography at Nova Southeastern University. She went on to obtain credentials in vascular (RVT) and obstetrics and gynecology (RDMS).
Today, she calls Atlanta, Georgia home and thrives in environments that are filled with joy, satisfaction, service, and a commitment to team-oriented patient care. She is passionate about patient care and ensures her patients feel seen, heard, and cared for under her guidance. Sydni is ecstatic to be a part of the mission at Georgia Fibroids and enjoys making a positive impact in people's lives. Outside work, she loves discovering new books, dog-sitting her favorite French bulldog, Hank, taking walks in nature, traveling the world, and hanging out with her loved ones.
Yulon DeCanio, Physician Liaison
Yulon DeCanio is a dedicated Physician Liaison with a wealth of experience and passion for helping people, building quality connections, and establishing long-lasting relationships.
Originally from Florida, Yulon earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration from the University of Central Florida. Today, she is a proud Georgia transplant (by way of Texas) and brings over 20 years of healthcare and marketing experience with a focus on business development.
Yulon is excited to be part of the new team at Georgia Fibroids in Atlanta as they grow their practice. She is committed to raising awareness among local physicians and patients by establishing a strong presence in the local market and healthcare space.
As a resident of Milton with her three children, Yulon is actively engaged in her local community and participates in various volunteer activities with a special emphasis on celiac disease awareness. When not in the field, she enjoys spending quality time outdoors with family and friends, exploring all that Georgia has to offer, and enjoying a beach or lake trip for paddle boarding and warm sunshine.
